Home › Sources and how we check
This guide is built from official sources first. Each page lists the sources behind it and the date they were checked. Where an official page could not be read or two pages disagree, this guide says so, or leave the fact out. If you spot something wrong, text Sean at 236-599-5898 and it will be corrected.
Last checked October 29, 2026. General information, not legal, tax or financial advice. Talk to an accountant or lawyer about your own situation.
How facts are checked
- Rules, fees, dates and numbers come from the organization that sets them: the Resort Municipality of Whistler, the Province of British Columbia, the federal government, BCFSA, the Land Title and Survey Authority, Tourism Whistler and Whistler Blackcomb.
- Secondary sources, such as news reports or real estate marketing pages, are labelled and used only for general character notes or where no official page was available.
- Dates, hours and prices change. Each page says “checked October 29, 2026,” and the operator or municipality is the final word.
- This guide never promises rental income, appreciation or tax outcomes.
