I’m Sean Phillips, an Okanagan Lifestyle Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Executives Realty in Vernon, British Columbia. SilverStar is my home mountain, and I help people compare BC ski resorts and find the right one for their family before they ever look at a home. I’m not based in Whistler, so if you’d like someone on the ground there, I can introduce you to a local agent I know and have worked with. If I refer you, I will likely receive a referral fee from that agent’s brokerage, which is common in the industry. I do the early work of answering your questions and organizing your search, and the local agent handles the on-the-ground side. I’ll tell you before any introduction is made.
How I got into skiing
I grew up in London, Ontario, where the tallest things around were buildings. I’d never seen a real mountain and had no idea what I was missing. I didn’t ski until I was 43, when I started creating Google virtual tours at Big White, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Now I ski 70-plus days a year, I’m a volunteer Mountain Host at my home mountain of SilverStar, and I help people choose the right BC ski resort for their family before they choose a home.
I’m known as Chalet Sean and I run a network of BC mountain-town guides, including Real Estate SilverStar and Big White Homes for Sale. I know Big White and SilverStar from the ground up. At other resorts, including Whistler, I rely on research and on agents who live and ski there.
About this guide
This Whistler guide focuses on the area first. I’m working on bringing Whistler listings to the site, and they will appear only through the proper channels with the right brokerage information.
The guide is independent. It is not affiliated with Whistler Blackcomb, Tourism Whistler or the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Facts come from official sources, each page shows its sources and the date they were checked, and anything this guide could not confirm is left out. You can see the full list on the sources page. If something is wrong, please tell me.
